Elmar Bartlmae,

Geschäftsführer/Produzent/Regisseur, geboren in Deutschland, studierte nach der Schulzeit in Italien, Physik (BSc) und Wissenschaftskommunikation (MSc) in London. Beim britischen Sender ITN (Independent Television News) begann seine Fernsehkarriere. Als Elmar 1998 zurück nach Deutschland kam, fing er als Produzent bei Deutschlands beliebtester Wissenschaftssendung „Welt der Wunder“ auf ProSieben an zu arbeiten. Er produzierte eine Vielzahl an Reportagen zu Wissenschaft, Technologie, Natur, Umwelt und Medizin. 2003 machte er sich selbstständig und gründete Leonardo Film. Gleichzeitig wurde er für die Discovery Campus Masterschool ausgewählt. Internationale Kontakte und spannende Themen haben die Produktion mehrerer internationaler Dokumentationen ermöglicht und Leonardo Film kontinuierlich seit 10 Jahren wachsen lassen.

Managing Director/Producer/Director, was born in Germany, went to school in Italy, before moving to London where he studied Physics (BSc) and Science Communication (MSc). Trilingual, Elmar embarked on a career in television by joining ITN, UK’s leading news provider. In 1998, he returned to Germany to take a position as producer/director at Germany’s most popular science programme “Welt der Wunder” at ProSieben. Here, Elmar produced TV reports on the most varied aspects of science, technology, nature, environment and medicine. In 2003 he founded Leonardo Film and at the same time was selected for the Discovery Campus Masterschool, a scholarship for filmmakers to enter the international documentary market. His network of broadcasters and fellow film producers has secured more exciting projects over the last 10 years and has lead to the continuous growth of Leonardo Film.
